Juno Won Four Oscar Nominations

Young actress Ellen Page who plays a 16-year-old girl who gets pregnant in the movie - JUNO, is shortlisted in the Best Actress category at 24th Feb Academy Awards.
The movie has won the heart of millions of movergoers in the US has been nominated for best screenplay, best director, best picture and best actress for Ellen Page.
The film has earned overwhelmingly positive reviews, making many critics’ top ten lists for 2007, A hit with audiences, Juno made back its budget of $7.5 million in only 20 days. Juno grossed over $100 million in the U.S. as of January 27, 2008. The movie benefited from an extremely positive critical reception.
Juno MacGuff, an independent-minded geek played by relative newcomer Ellen Page of Canada, gets pregnant, considers abortion, but then decides to have the baby and give it up for adoption to a childless couple. The movie managed to disarm both sides of the emotional and divisive debate over teen sexuality and abortion, gaining cult status.

On Tue, Apple Inc’s Chief Executive said the company sold four million iPhones since launch, at a rate of roughly 20,000 a day.
Apple launched its first phone at the end of June, represented about 19.5% of the US smart phone market in its first 90 days and about 1.12 million units of iPhones were sold in the third quarter.

2007 Video Game Consoles Sold in US

NDP Group market research company released the numbers about the sales numbers of video game consoles last week.
Nintendo took the first two spots with the DS and the Wii, by a huge margin. Surprising is that almost 4 million Sony PS2s were sold - outselling the Sony PS3 by 1.5 million.
If Nintendo would have been able to step up the Wii production they would have surely sold considerably more than the 6,290,000 million consoles they did. In case you wondered, there are still no $249 Wii consoles available online.
All three new generation video game consoles still have a very long way to go to catch the 40 million mark of the Sony PS2, especially when the PS2 is still selling in the millions.
